If you are leaning a long answers, first break it down in short parts or paragraphs. In case of paragraphs you will be able to learn it quickly and you will also not feel bore and sleepy. But in case of long and lengthy paragraphs one would feel that.


Meditation and relaxation: if you are not able to concentrate on your studies, do some meditation and you will see the results.

Concentration is the main thing, if you are not able to concentrate well on what you are learning, you can’t learn it properly and for a long time. You will forget whatever you learn, so it is very important to concentrate on your study properly. If you are able to grasp it in the first attempt then it is very good, as it has been also observed in few condition when one don’t able to learn something even after doing a lot of hard work, he/she feels sleepy or bore. This can divert your mind from study. So first try to concentrate well and if you still not able to learn it well, leave it and move to next topic.

Take breaks while studying: Students also should take breaks during the studies. Take 5 minutes break after 1 hours of study. It will make your mind fresh and you would be able to give 100% again to your study with good concentration.

Drink more water: it is also a good tips for memorizing better. Not only students but we all should drink water as much as we can.

Try to associate difficult names and dates with interesting things like movie name, song etc. You will be able to recall it easily.

CBSE Grading System Introduced in X and IX class

Finally Grading system in CBSE X class has been introduced and will work form the next year 2010-11. The board exams now have become optional for x and new system called continuous and comprehensive evaluation (CCE) has been approved based on grades. There would be two assessment during a year called as formative and summative assessment.

About Formative Assessment: it will be based on class work, homework, assignment and project work done by the students.

Two evaluations would be there each in first and second term and will carry 10 marks.

In summative assessment based on the term end examination:

There would be one term end exam for each term. The first term end exam will carry 20 marks and second will carry 40 marks.

There would be total 9 grades for class IX and Xth. Grade for a student would be based on the marks obtained in formative and summative assessments. Here is the complete detail of grading system.

The common entrance test for the military school of India will be held on 20th December 2009 for the admission of students VI in Rashtriya Military School.


What you need: Students should be 10 to 12 years old as on July 1, 2010. The students should pass the examination of 5th class from a Govt/ recognized school before the admission.
Age Relaxation: six month relaxation in age will be provided for the wards of personnel killed in action.


Deadline: the form can be submitted till 10th September 2009.

Application form and prospectus can be obtained from any Rashtriya Military School
Fee: The prospectus fee is 250 for general students and for SC/ST the prospectus will be available for Rs. 125 only.

Fee for the various courses like B-Pharma in first year is 16500, for M Pharma it is Rs. 15000 and for the D. Pharma the fee is 10000. The fee is not refundable.
